Vendor Guide

Everything you need to start selling your AEC tools and services on AEC Forge. Builders keep 100% at launch (0% platform commission).

1. Apply & get approved

Go to Become a Vendor and submit your store name, a short bio, and your details. Applications are manually reviewed. Once approved, you get the wpaec_vendor role and access to your front-end dashboard — no wp-admin needed.

2. Your dashboard

Your Vendor Dashboard is where you manage everything: add and edit listings, see orders and earnings, and set your store profile and payout details.

3. Add a digital product (program)

  1. Dashboard → Add Product. Choose listing type Program.
  2. Set a title, description, and price.
  3. Upload your deliverable. Allowed types include zip, xlsx, xlsm, csv, json, py, gh, ghx, dyn, rvt, rfa, ifc — Revit families/models, IFC, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Python, Excel, and more.
  4. Enable license keys and set an activation limit if you want per-seat licensing.
  5. Save. New listings go to pending review; once approved they publish to the shop with a “Sold by your store” link.

On each sale, the buyer automatically receives their download and a license key, and your earnings are recorded.

4. Add a service (tiered)

Choose listing type Service to sell work as Basic / Standard / Premium packages, each with its own price, description, and delivery time. Deliver per the scope you state.

5. License keys & the activation API

Licensed programs ship with keys your buyers activate. Your shipped tool can validate itself against our public API:

  • POST /wp-json/wpaec/v1/license/activate — body: license_key, instance
  • POST /wp-json/wpaec/v1/license/deactivate — body: license_key, instance
  • GET /wp-json/wpaec/v1/license/validate?license_key=…

Activations beyond your set limit are rejected automatically.

6. Pricing, commission & payouts

You set your prices. At launch the platform commission is 0% — you keep everything (a standard commission applies later; you’ll be notified in advance). Add your PayPal email or Stripe account ID in your dashboard settings so we can pay you out. Commissions on any refunded or cancelled order are voided automatically.
