Description
SheetForge — open-source construction drawing review, markup and calibrated takeoff. A review desk for people who build things — estimators, project engineers, superintendents, architects and coordinators — not a general-purpose PDF editor.
The premise: a markup is a project record, not ink. A revision cloud carries who raised it, against which revision of which sheet, in which discipline, what it measures, who owns it, when it’s due, and every status it has passed through. Filter to “open structural comments on Level 4”, roll them into a takeoff, export them as BCF topics for the coordination model, and have them survive a slip-sheet.
Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android — works with the network off. Apache-2.0, free — a deliberately narrow alternative to per-seat, Windows-only review tools. Get it on GitHub.
= v0.1.1 — September 10, 2026 =
**This build cannot update itself.** It was produced without the updater signing key,
so it carries no signed update payload and no `latest.json`. Anything installed from it
stays on this version until it is uninstalled and replaced by hand. It is a preview, not
a release to keep.
These binaries are also not code-signed with an organisation certificate, so Windows
SmartScreen and macOS Gatekeeper will warn on first run. Nothing vouches for these
bytes but the hash: verify what you downloaded against `SHA256SUMS.txt`, attached to
this release.
**Only the Windows build has been run by a person.** The macOS and Linux builds compile in CI and nobody has launched them — if you download the `.dmg`, the `.AppImage`, the `.deb` or the `.rpm`, you are the first to run it. Reports either way are welcome.
This supersedes 0.1.0, which was built but never published: its installers carry a pdf.js advisory and a Windows uninstaller that asks for administrator rights it does not need.
